ERECTION DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT

“Construction-stage-analysis” (CSA) is at the heart of developing an erection methodology. GALPAN’s “Staged Construction” process is a static modeling, analysis, and design application which enables the definition of a sequence of construction stages in which structural systems and load patterns are added or removed, and time-dependent behaviors are evaluated.

The results of “Construction-stage-analysis” are the leading parameters that determine the pattern of erection methodology.

GALPAN Engineering uses the following softwares in structural design and detailing: Dlubal RFEM, Staad.Pro, Robot, Midas GEN, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM Structural, IDEA Statica and Limcon. Tekla Structures (X-Seel), Rhinoceros, Revit and BricsCAD softwares are used in 3D modelling, detailing and preparing shop drawings. In addition, an integrated design, detailing and costing software is specifically used in pre-engineered metal buildings design.

GALPAN Engineering prepares full set of design, engineering and detailing (shop drawings) documents, including manufacturing and installation according to the demands of clients. In order to remain flexible in adapting itself to different codes and standards, the customer and local authorities execute the design according to design parameters, codes and standards preferred and imposed.

GALPAN collaborates with architects, owners, developers and builders to design “optimum” structural solutions for a wide range of projects.

GALPAN designs for different markets with different local codes, guides and standards, including European and U.S. ones.

GALPAN integrates engineering process from concept to completion to optimize manufacturability, weldability, paintability, transportability and installability of individual assemblies forming the parts of an entire structure.

Our services include design and fabrication modelling, connection design, welding engineering, transportation planning, erection engineering and crane engineering.

If GALPAN receives a structural engineering package from the customer, whether this be a F.E.E.D. (Front End Engineering Design) level project or a fully-finished one, GALPAN which can be optimized by integrating the entire process from manufacturability to installability. This process may also include other elements of the structure such as building envelop, foundations and soil improvements in an integrated single 3D model.

In addition to standard frame element Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis, GALPAN performs shell and solid element FEM analysis to engineer solutions for intractable details such as complex connections and moving mechanical parts. We perform CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis of structures with complex envelopes such as stadiums and high-rise buildings susceptible of adverse wind loads. In order to reach higher serviceability standards, we apply footfall induced vibration analysis to floor systems.

GALPAN is capable of executing detailed analysis of welds in order to substantiate demands for reduced weld sizes.
